APEX Engineering is currently working on a design-build project in Nevada involving two dairy farms and an injection station.
The project includes two (2) CSTR digesters with 22-day retention time and microaeration per dairy, producing 210 SCFM of RNG at each dairy.
The biogas is conditioned from 55% methane to 98% methane, with hydrogen sulfite removal via media and carbon dioxide removal with a PSA unit. The RNG is compressed into transportation trailers at 3,800 psi with the onsite compressors.
The tube trailer are transported 60 miles to an injection station which injects the RNG into the interstate pipeline at 800 PSIG. The flow is 50 MSCFH per injection train into the pipeline for a total of 200,000 SCFH.
APEX Engineering’s scope includes:
- Site electrical distribution, interconnection piping and foundations
- SCADA system coordination and design with all the vendors’ PLCs on both farms, as well as the injection station
- Design of the injection station, the metering and receiving station
